As an upgraded version of the classic MT4, MetaTrader 5 (MT5) has a similar structure and feel as its older sibling. However, a lack of backwards compatibility for the very large marketplace for automated trading strategies has led many traders to continue to stay with the MT4 instead of switching to the newer version.
Since MetaTrader 5 is not considered a social trading platform, most social trading brokers who offer this platform will also offer a designated social trading platform. These platforms are generally designed to make it very easy to interact with other traders, as well as compare the performance of traders with each other. They are usually also designed in a more intuitive way than MT5, which makes them very accessible, even for completely new traders.
