Exchange traded funds, or ETFs for short, are funds that are listed on public stock exchanges just like stocks of companies. They are therefore priced in real-time, and can also be bought and sold in real-time. This differs from traditional mutual funds, which can take several days to buy or sell, depending on the country they are in.
ETFs offer benefits for high leverage forex traders in that they make it possible to make large bets on entire industries or sectors of the stock market without taking the risk that comes with trading just a single company. Trading ETFs as highly leveraged CFDs also makes it possible to earn money from ETFs going down in price by shorting the corresponding CFD. All in all, they are a great trading vehicle for all types of short-term traders with limited trading capital.
