Comprehensive review

Registered as a fully regulated brokerage company in Australia, and with an offshore branch in Vanuatu, ACY Securities is a classic forex broker that offers high leverage (outside of Australia), a diverse selection of tradable assets, and access to the popular MetaTrader 4 and 5 platforms. Originally established in 2013 in Melbourne, Australia, ACY later moved its headquarter to Sydney where it merged with Synergy FX to become the company we know today.

ACY Securities has over the years received multiple awards, perhaps most notably as the “Best Forex Broker 2018” by International Business Summit, and “Best Multi-Asset Broker Australia” for 2020 by Technology Era magazine. Likewise, Synergy FX also attracted some attention in the Australian trading community when it was awarded the “Best Australian Forex Dealer” by GMFR in 2015.

Judging by the number of instruments that can be traded with ACY Securities, this broker today stands out as one of the better companies among smaller and medium-sized forex brokers. In addition to stock CFDs from more than 100 Australian and American companies, and a decent number of exchange traded funds (ETFs), ACY also offers almost all of the world’s popular forex pairs, a handful of cryptocurrencies, stock indices, and commodities. All of the assets are traded as CFDs, with available leverage going as high as 1:500 on the most liquid assets.

Like most forex brokers, ACY Securities unfortunately does not accept clients from the US for regulatory reasons. Other than that, however, traders from most countries are welcome to sign up as clients with ACY’s Vanuatu-registered branch.

During sign-up, new clients will be asked to choose one of three types of trading accounts from ACY Securities:
– A Standard account with zero commissions and a minimum deposit of USD 50.
– A ProZero account with a USD 200 minimum deposit, commissions of USD 3/lot per side, and tighter spreads.
– A Bespoke account with premium services and the lowest trading costs, available for a minimum deposit of USD 10,000.

All trading accounts can be funded with a range of e-wallet services, including Skrill, Neteller, PayPal, POLi, Fasapay and others. In addition, both local and international bank wire transfers and payment cards like Visa, MasterCard and UnionPay are also accepted. All deposits are accepted free of charge by the broker.

We are also glad to see that ACY Securities has listed direct phone numbers to its customer support department for clients to use. There are separate phone numbers for clients in Australia, Mainland China and Taiwan, as well as a dedicated line for other international users. As with almost all brokers, ACY can also be contacted via a live chat function on its website for less urgent needs.

In conclusion, we believe many traders will find that ACY Securities is a broker that suits most of their needs. The Pro Zero account in particular has relatively competitive spreads and commissions, and is therefore the recommended choice for most traders who can invest the USD 200 required as a minimum. And although the MetaTrader 4 & 5 platforms remain the only platforms available from this broker, these platforms are both among the most popular in the retail trading community anyway. We hence expect that ACY Securities is a broker that will continue to be around and provide its services to traders from all around the world for many years to come.
