In the UK, all forex & CFD brokers - including those that offer commodity trading - are overseen by the highly regarded Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Although this usually translates into lower trading leverage than what is available from offshore brokers, being regulated by the FCA also means that the interests of individual traders will be looked after to a greater extent.
Trading in commodity CFDs is something that has only become more and more popular since CFDs were first introduced to the market as an alternative for independent traders. Today, underlying assets in the commodity space includes everything from gold and silver to oil, coal, sugar, and coffee. For the first time, it is therefore possible to take leveraged bets on the direction that these commodities will move in, without trading directly in the futures market.
