French CFD Forex brokers are regulated by the Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution (ACPR) and by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). This means that CFD & forex brokers in France are overseen by some of the strictest regulators in the world, which, among other things, limits the leverage available to non-professional traders to 1:30.
Despite this, CFD & forex trading is popular in France, and there are some CFD brokers that have set up offices there to serve the local market. However, French CFD & forex traders are still free to sign up with any broker outside of France as well, some of which allow much more flexible trading conditions and higher leverage.
