Although some Swiss-based brokers offer binary options trading, this is not common in Switzerland, and Swiss binary options traders may instead want to look to other countries to find a good broker to trade with. The best alternatives in that case include Australia-registered binary options brokers, as well as brokers operating out of New Zealand, or one of the popular offshore jurisdictions in the Caribbean.
The few binary options brokers that do exist in Switzerland are required to be regulated by the Swiss national regulator known as the Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA). This is a highly regarded regulator with lots of experience in protecting customers and investors, in particular in the banking area. For binary options brokers, however, these regulations may be a bit too restrictive, and many instead operate out of other countries as a result.
