Saint Kitts and Nevis does not regulate binary options brokers, and these brokers are therefore free to operate from the island as long as they have a legally registered company there. This differs from the situation in the EU, where binary options trading has been banned by the ESMA.
However, trading binary options with an unregulated broker in Saint Kitts and Nevis comes with certain risks. This includes uncertainty as to how and where clients’ funds are kept by the broker, and what would happen if a broker goes out of business. To compensate for these risks, some binary options brokers in Saint Kitts and Nevis have joined independent organizations that can mediate between brokers and clients in the event of a dispute.
