Comprehensive review

An offshore forex & CFD broker registered in the Marshall Islands, Xtream Forex has been part of the brokerage industry since 2015, serving traders from around the world.

Despite having been in the industry for quite a few years already, Xtream Forex remains an unregulated broker. This means that there are no government agencies to turn to in the event of any issues with this broker, and users should not expect to receive any form of compensation in the rare event that the broker goes out of business.

However, trading with unregulated forex brokers also comes with certain benefits, including higher trading leverage, a simpler account verification process, and the ability of funding the trading account with Bitcoin and sometimes other cryptocurrencies. As a result, it is definitely possible for traders at unregulated exchanges to enjoy a higher level of privacy than it is at regulated “onshore” exchanges.

In addition to allowing funding with bitcoin, Xtream also offers trading in a range of cryptocurrencies for those who want to speculate on the wild price swings in this market. The cryptoassets currently available from the broker includes of course Bitcoin, as well as Litecoin, Ethereum, Ripple (XRP), Dash, and a whole range of lesser-known cryptocurrencies.

Further, Xtream also offers trading in more than 60 major and minor forex pairs, a range of global stock indices from Asia, Europe, North America, and Australia, as well as single stocks of some of the world’s most famous companies.

All assets are traded on either the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) or MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platforms, which are well-known as two of the most popular trading platforms in the history of online forex trading. Developed as early as in 2005 and 2010, respectively, both platforms come with large built-in marketplaces for “Expert Advisors” (trading robots), as well as a range of custom trading strategies and indicators.

In addition to the two MetaTrader platforms, Xtream Forex also offers a FIX API solution that can be integrated with other platforms.

In terms of account types, Xtream Forex offers the following choices:
– Micro: Ideal for new traders, with commission-free trading and spreads from 1 pip
– Standard: With minimum deposit of USD 250, commission-free trading and spreads from 1 pip
– ECN: Best for traders with more capital, commission of USD 7 per trade and spreads from 0 pips
– ECN Pro: Ideal for large traders with more than USD 5,000 in capital. Commission of USD 5 per trade and spreads from 0 pips
– VIP: For the largest traders with more than USD 20,000 in capital. Commission of USD 1 per trade and spreads from 0 pips

In addition to these standard account types, Xtream also offers certain “social trading” features such as copy trading. Here, it’s possible to sign up either as a copier (“investor”), or as someone who shares trades with others (“fund manager”). While the former option is best for those who simply want to earn passive income, being a fund manager could be an attractive option for those who believe they have an edge in the market and would like to earn extra income by managing funds on behalf of others.

All of the above trading account types can be funded with either credit or debit cards, bank wire transfers, or the usual e-wallet services like Skrill, Neteller, FasaPay, WebMoney, and others. In addition, Xtream also accepts bitcoin deposits and withdrawals, which in recent years has become common among offshore-based brokers.

Finally, we would like to point out that although the broker claims on its website to be “registered and regulated by the Marshall Islands,” this is not the case. We know this because it’s well-known that no government authority on the Marshall Islands regulates forex brokers. Instead, the broker is merely registered as a company in this offshore jurisdiction, which in itself is legal, although it should not claim to be “regulated.”
