TIO Markets is a relatively new CFD & forex broker established in 2019 and registered offshore in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Mwali.
The broker used to have a dedicated EU-based branch to serve EU traders in accordance with local regulations, but this is no longer the case now. As a result, all TIO Markets clients can now enjoy ultra-high trading leverage of up to 1:1,000.
Although it does not have the very best selection, TIO Markets has done a fairly good job when it comes to the number of trading instruments it offers. The range of assets includes everything from the usual major and minor forex pairs, to commodities, single shares of US-listed companies, popular cryptocurrencies, and major share indices from across the world.
All of the assets offered by TIO Markets are traded as contracts-for-difference (CFDs), a type of instrument that makes it easy to trade both from the long and short side with high leverage.
Despite being a fairly new broker, TIO Markets has chosen to rely solely on the two legendary trading platforms MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5), developed by the Russian firm MetaQuotes Software in 2005 and 2010, respectively.
Both of these platforms offer traders a wide selection of advanced tools to help in their trading, including a huge number of technical trading indicators and strategies. Both platforms also allow users to code their own such indicators and strategies with the help of a proprietary scripting language, known as MQL.
In terms of account types, TIO Markets offers four different choices:
– Spread account, with spreads from 1.2 pips and commission-free trading
– Standard account, with spreads from 0.6 pips and commissions of $5 per lot
– VIP account, with spreads from 0.4 pips and commissions of $2 per lot
– VIP Black account, with spreads from 0.4 pips and commission-free trading
Among these account types, the VIP Black account is obviously the most beneficial for large traders. The account has the tightest spreads, with no mark-up added on the raw spreads from the liquidity providers.
Worth noting is that only the Spread account gives access to the highest of 1:1,000, while the other account types come with a max leverage of 1:500.
In addition to the four standardized trading accounts, special accounts also exist for copy trading, demo trading, and for Muslim traders.
Accounts can be denominated in the currencies USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, AUD, CZK, ZAR.
All trading accounts with TIO Markets can be funded with either ordinary bank wire transfers, with major credit & debit cards like Visa and MasterCard, or through a whole range of e-wallet services. In addition, TIO Markets also accepts the cryptocurrencies BTC, ETH, USDT and TIOx as a payment method for making deposits.
Lastly, TIO Markets’ customer service team can be reached via live chat, telegram, or email for anyone who has a question. Unfortunately, however, the broker does not provide any phone number traders can call, but the broker promises on its website that the support team is available to chat 24/7.
All in all, however, TIO Markets has a selection of assets that should suit most traders, while also making it convenient for new clients as many of them will already be familiar with the MT4 or MT5 platforms.
