Kudotrade is a forex broker registered in Mauritius that offers high leverage and low spreads across a large selection of trading instruments. The broker makes it clear on its website that its services are “not directed at” residents of the EU and UK for regulatory reasons, but it appears that traders from these regions still can register as clients if they wish to do so.
Kudotrade is regulated by the Mauritius Financial Services Commission (FSC). Looking up the company in FSC's register confirms this, with registration active and valid since December of 2024.
One thing that stands out with Kudotrade compared to its competitors is the “Academy” section of its website. This section contains weekly video-recorded trade analysis sessions, a free comprehensive trading course, an economic calendar, a useful risk calculator, and various free video tutorials on topics like how to use MetaTrader, how to place trades, and how to start copy trading.
Another thing that is really nice to see with Kudotrade is that they allow traders to get started with as little as $50 in trading capital. They also allow their clients to fund their account with crypto (in addition to bank transfer and credit cards), which opens up this broker to a large group of people from all around the world.
Like most forex brokers, Kudotrade offers its clients the choice between different account types depending on their needs. At the time of this writing, this includes:
– A Standard account, with a $50 minimum deposit, spreads from 0.7 pips and no commissions.
– A Pro account, with a $5,000 minimum deposit, spreads from 0 pips and $8 commissions per lot.
– A demo account, available for free to practice trading with no risk.
All of these accounts give the trader access to the very well-known MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platform, available on web, as a desktop app for Mac and Windows, and as a mobile app. This platform, as well as its predecessor MT4, have for many years been among the most popular trading platforms in the retail forex trading community, which also means that transitioning to Kudotrade from another broker will be straightforward for most people.
In addition to MT5, Kudo has developed its own copy trading platform known simply as Kudo Copy Trader. This is a mobile platform only that is available for Apple, Android and Windows-based mobile devices. As experienced traders know, copy trading can be a lucrative way to earn a side income by sharing trades with others. At the same time, it can also be a good opportunity for inexperienced traders to profit from copying trades made by others.
In terms of tradable instruments, Kudotrade has an offering that is more or less in line with the industry standard. The broker offers around 90 forex pairs, which even includes many exotic currency pairs, around 30 crypto pairs, a handful of equity indices, metals, oil and gas, and more than 100 single stocks listed in the US, UK and Europe. All of these assets are traded as CFDs, which makes it convenient and cheap to get leveraged exposure to both the long and short side.
In the event of any issues during the sign-up process or later during trading, Kudotrade's customer support team can be reached via phone, email or live chat. Unfortunately, the broker has not provided any information about its support department's opening hours, which makes us doubt that 24 hour support is available here. Still, when tested by us, support was quick, responsive and helpful.
All in all, we see Kudotrade as an interesting new player in the forex broker industry. The broker could be worth checking out, particularly for traders who want access to crypto funding and high leverage on stocks or forex pairs on the popular MT5 platform.
