Comprehensive review

Focus Markets is a relatively new forex and CFD broker, founded in the year 2025. The group operates through two entities: Focus Markets Ltd in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA), and Focus Markets Global Limited in Mauritius, regulated by the Financial Services Commission (FSC).

As we always remind our readers when it comes to offshore forex brokers, the regulatory agencies in these jurisdictions are considered mid-tier, offering much less oversight and client protection than top-tier regulators such as the FCA, ASIC or CySEC. Still, there are some benefits that come with trading with an offshore-registered forex broker, including access to much higher leverage and the option to fund accounts with crypto.

On the instruments side, Focus Markets advertises over 800 CFD instruments in total, spanning more than 30 forex pairs, 100+ crypto pairs, 18 indices, 15 metals, three energy products, six softs, 550+ single stocks listed in Australia, the US, UK and EU, and 45+ ETFs. Some of the tickers advertised on the broker's homepage include well-known names such as EURUSD, BTCUSD, NDX100, TSLA, NVDA, IVV and XAUUSD. As with most brokers we have reviewed here on FX-List, all instruments are traded as contracts-for-difference (CFDs). These are leveraged derivatives that make it easy to trade from both the long and short side without needing a lot of capital.

For execution, Focus Markets currently promotes two platforms: MetaTrader 5 (MT5) and TradeLocker. Additionally, the Godel Terminal is available as a separate platform for research and analysis, but is designed to be used with MT5 or TradeLocker for actual trade execution. The Godel Terminal is a relatively new and advanced financial terminal, built to offer everything a trader would need in one place, but at a significantly lower cost than legacy professional terminals.

New clients can choose between three live account types:
– Standard account with no commission and spreads from 1 pip
– Raw account with spreads from 0 pips and a $3.50 per-side commission per standard lot
– Access account with spreads from 2 pips, no commission, leverage up to 1:1000 and a 100% deposit bonus up to $200, available on MT5 only.

The Standard and Raw accounts both run on MT5 and TradeLocker with leverage up to 1:500 and base currencies including AUD, USD, GBP, EUR, NZD, SGD and CAD. The minimum deposit to open a live account is $100 across all three account types.

Funding is available via bank card, Skrill, Neteller, BitWallet, crypto (USDT, BTC), and bank transfer, with no deposit or withdrawal fees charged by the broker. Customer support is offered 24 hours a day on all trading days via live chat and email at support@focusmarkets.com. Unfortunately, no direct phone number to the broker has been provided.

In conclusion, Focus Markets offers a wide 800+ instrument range with competitive spreads, a low minimum deposit requirement and ultra-high leverage across three account types. We believe this makes Focus Markets an attractive broker to consider for many traders, although the offshore-only registration means that risks are higher here than with fully regulated “onshore” forex brokers.
