As a small country in Europe, Denmark only has a very limited number of forex & CFD brokers with locally registered offices. Among those is the major broker Saxo Bank, which was originally founded in Denmark. All brokers registered in Denmark are regulated by both the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) and the national regulator known as Finanstilsynet.
Although most smaller forex & CFD brokers only offer a limited selection of stocks, some brokers have wide selections with stocks from thousands of companies from all around the world. This includes a large number of US companies like Apple, Facebook, and Netflix, European companies like Royal Dutch Shell and BNP Paribas, and sometimes Chinese companies like Tencent and Alibaba.
