“Soft commodities” is a term used to describe agricultural commodities that are either grown or raised. Examples of this includes live cattle, pork bellies, corn, sugar, coffee, and many other things. Although not as popular as some of the other categories of commodities such as metals and energies, many social trading forex brokers do offer at least some of the soft commodities.
As opposed to the other commodities that exist, soft (or agricultural) commodities are highly sensitive to changes in weather conditions, in addition to being prone to certain diseases. This sometimes leads to strong price volatility in this market, which the best traders have learned to profit from. Because of the nature of this market, following and copying the trades made by other more experienced traders via a social trading platform can be very helpful.
